  • 4th Annual Wine Tasting Benefit – To be held Oct 19t, 2011 at Armitage Wine Loung and Cafe.  We are raising funds for Youth on Their Own and the Jack & Jill of America Foundation.  For tickets and more information contact our Foundation Chair Susan OliwoOlabode at foundation@jjtucson.org.

Past Year Activities

  • 3rd Annual Wine Tasting Benefit - Held on March 16th, 2011, at Armitage Wine Lounge and Cafe.  We raised over $5,000.00.  The net proceeds were disbursed to the Imago Dei Middle School and Jack and Jill of America Foundation.  Our sincere thanks to all in attendance and to our individual contributors.

Tucson Chapter Members at the 3rd Annual Wine Tasting Benefit

  • Benefit for Haiti – The Teen Chapter held a garage sale on Feb 13, 2010.  They raised over $300.00.  1/3 of the proceeds were sent to the Jack and Jill of America Foundation and the remaing proceeds were sent to the American Red Cross of Southern Arizona.

Teen Chapter Members - Yard Sale for Haiti

  • Devareaux Foundation “Back to School Backpack Campaign”– children and moms donated items to fill backpacks for displaced at risk youth.  We donated 10 backpacks which included personal care items and back to school supplies.

Giving Corner:

  • Community Foodbank — we donated 21 pounds of breakfast cereal to help them restock their shelves when they announced a shortage.
  • GAP Ministries — we donated clothes and shoes to the children housed in their foster communities.
  • Far West Region Loose Change for Foundation– all age groups in the chapter are encouraged to collect loose change throughout the program year to make a personal gift to the National Foundation.

The Jack and Jill of America Foundation’s philosophy: ”The Foundation supports programs that not only create opportunities and challenges for children to learn and practice leadership skills, but also build leadership character in youth. The ultimate goal of every Foundation grant dollar is to empower young people to make the right life choices.”
